MC2 Magazine Layout
I have done a lot of work on magazine feature layouts and advertising for publications. My experience allows me to be able to assemble a complete publication, ready for printing. That was my task for this MINI COOPER-centered magazine layout project.
What I liked about this project
Being a MINI COOPER enthusiast myself, I enjoyed working on all the different MINI-related features and graphics in this publication. Some other elements of the publication were also needed to be created to compliment the supplied stories and photos. See below for the details.

MC2 Magazine Layout
This project was to layout this entire publication, cover to cover. Editorial material and photos were provided and I was asked to create the entire magazine. Cover designs, contributing editor columns, all feature editorials and even some technical illustrations and advertiser ads were parts of the project. In addition to design of the layouts I also provided photography, photo editing and retouching, even story editing and headline suggestions. Once the design was completed and layouts reviewed, changes made and final approval was given, I prepared press-ready final artwork files and transferred them to the printing company.
Technical Illustration
One feature required a technical illustration to explain the benefit of the promoted product.
Advertisements for Print
When 2 ads were scheduled but not yet available for the issue, I contracted and worked direct with the advertisers to create their ads and get them into the book in time for publication.
Photography & Editing
For a non-existing image needed to show the seatbelt in a MINI, I photographed the belt in my own car and color-corrected the color of the belt to match the actual product.
